If you’re an A Mindful Mantra regular, you’ve probably heard crickets chirping on the site for the last few weeks. Don’t worry, I haven’t abandoned you! I did, however, go on a family-filled vacation love-fest. It was great! But, I’m back and here to offer you The Ultimate Vacation Re-Cap!
After the 4th of July, I spent a week at Forest Lake in New Hampshire with Phill’s family and a week in Cape Cod with my family. We went paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, fishing, shopping, ate lots of great food, drank great wine and beer, slept whenever we wanted, and hugged our loved ones every day. You really can’t ask for much more!
As relaxing and fun as our ultimate vacation was, I couldn’t help but feeling down and out some days. I couldn’t stop myself from worrying about my jobs, my relationship with Phill, A Mindful Mantra, and all of the other projects I’m participating in at the moment. I was stuck in a cycle of negativity. It left me feeling defeated and devoid of inspiration. I sought refuge in my writing, but even that started to fuel the cycle of negativity. So, when push came to shove, I put down my journal, threw on my bathing suit, grabbed a glass of wine, and sun-bathed with my family. Focusing on the present moment forced the worries to take a back seat. I’m glad to say that I’ve returned from vacation with a vibrant spirit full of love and inspiration. I’ve returned ready to cultivate the life that I’ve always desired.
How did I turn my frown upside down, well I think the following photos speak for themselves!
